Press Release Body = SACRAMENTO, Sept. 7, 2006 - O3SIS Information Technology AG, a leading provider of personal mobile applications and Over-the-Air (OTA) data synchronization (DS) technology for first tier mobile network operators, announced that it has adapted its full suite of products for new HP Integrity servers.
O3SIS mobile data application services combined with HP Integrity servers provides an affordable, high performance platform for mobile network operators to deploy value-added, wireless services for their customers.
O3SIS' Unified Mobile Applications (UMA) include consumer push mail, a high-end address book, Backup and Restore, and end-to-end SyncML (OMA DS) over the air data synchronization features which allow subscribers to transparently synchronize contacts, calendars, e-mail and tasks between their web organizer, mobile phone and PC - eliminating the need to maintain multiple sources of identical data.
Dirk Dörre, CEO and CTO at O3SIS, stated, "We fully support HP Integrity systems as they provide a compelling value proposition for telecom providers and have a proven, mature and mainstream installation track-record. HP Integrity servers combined with O3SIS over-the-air data synchronization products deliver cost effective, reliable and on-demand scalable solutions facilitating deployment and management of new services for increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty."
O3SIS is an industry-leader in the mobile telecom market and its OTA synchronization products are already widely deployed among millions of cellular subscribers around the world. The O3SIS team was quick and dedicated to adapting its scalable solutions onto the Integrity platform. O3SIS expects to have its first commercial launch on HP Integrity servers at a tier one operator in Europe later this year.
"With the increasing amount of personal and business data stored to phones and PCs, customers rely on the flexible capacity and secure availability offered by the HP Integrity systems to remain consistently up to date while also safeguarding their information," said Don Jenkins, vice president of marketing, Business Critical Servers, HP. "The combination of these enhanced services from O3SIS with the HP Integrity server systems deliver a cost-effective mobile networking solution and better return on customers' IT investments."
O3SIS SyncML (OMA DS) data synchronization and Backup and Restore products are key components of the company's Unified Mobile Applications (UMA) platform, which provides Over-the-Air data synchronization, a full-featured address book, mobile device backup/restore, and mobile personal information management (PIM) functionality including consumer push e-mail. UMA enables operators to roll out multiple value-added services from a single, high-performance platform, significantly reducing system complexity and maintenance costs. O3SIS' UMA products support Over-the-Air synchronization on more than 150 different devices from all leading handset vendors.
